Sledding

PLEASE NOTE: There are so many great places to hit the hills with your toboggan. Not all of these places may allow sledding. It is up to you to check. Sledding is done at your own risk.



Here are a few suggestions:

Annapolis Royal: The slopes of Fort Anne (MAP)

Aylesford: Head north of Aylesford to Brow of Mountain Road

BerwickGrandview Manor

FalmouthAvon Valley Golf Course

Greenwood: the hill beside the community center/outdoor pool in Greenwood, or the hill in front of the Canex Airplane museum. The Cannex hill in Greenwood has a new plane installed for the museum. It’s made it more difficult to sled there, but it may still be possible. MAP

HantsportHantsport Community Centre – There is a huge hill back towards the baseball field. There is lots of parking and great benches to sit on to watch and take pictures.

Kentville: Burger Hill is located near the Research Station on Route 1 (MAP).

Kentville Memorial ParkOakdene Soccer fieldsKCA school; there is a smaller hill that’s good for younger children at the baseball diamond and soccer field near AVR (off Oakdene Ave). There’s an access road beside the white house that’s two houses away if you’re walking or a small parking lot on the street behind Oakdene Ave.

New Minas: Lockhart Ryan Park by the ball diamond (MAP)

Port Williams: The hill behind the elementary school (MAP)

WindsorHaliburton House Museum , Fort Edward (the side facing the river), Kings Edgehill School (there is a longer slower hill and a shorter, steeper hill)

Wolfville: The front lawn of University Hall on the Acadia Campus (MAP)
