Everything you need to know to plan your March Break!


Athletic Camps

Acadia Athletic Camps – Multisport; Ages: 5-8, 9-12. Date: March 12 – March 16 (FULL WEEK)

Time: 9:00 – 4:00; Drop off: 8:00 – 9:00 am; Pick up: 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Location: Acadia Athletic Complex, Hall of Fame Room

Campers will participate in a variety of sports such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, tennis and various phys ed activities.

Campers will swim daily and participate in a free skate every other day. Skates and helmets can be provided. Helmets are mandatory.

All participants will be provided with an Acadia Sport Camps T-shirt. Registration

Fraserway Stables March Break Camp – March break camps, 2018 Mon,Tue, Wed ( limited spaces available)
camps are $75 for the day; 8am -5 pm
Pack your own lunch, there will be snack times too throughout the day.
bring extra socks in case you get wet, and mittens too.
camp days may include a variety of topics from
riding, outdoor survival, lunging, bandaging with foot poultice, emergency first aid scenarios, tack/equipment usage/care and names and how it works. games, showmanship, anything from the EC Western Rider level books
plus, may also include horses at liberty, Tai Chi on Horseback.
If anyone has a preference for the day or days or topics they wish to cover, we can certainly accommodate that.

Martock Ski Camp– Ages 5 to adult – Beginner to Advanced Skiers. Daily from Monday March 12 – Friday March 16, 2018. 1 day, 4 hour group lesson. Starts at 9:30am to 11:30 with a 1 hour break for lunch* continue from 12:30 till 2:30pm.

Valley District Soccer March Break Camp – Valley District Soccer is pleased to offer the annual March break Soccer Camp. The camp runs March 12 to March 15 for ages 9 to Under 13. Space is limited, so plan to register early. For registration form and info click on the link

Daily Events

Annapolis Valley Regional Library– all the libraries across the Valley will be hosting great events and programs for FREE during March Break. 

Braveheart First Aid Babysitting courses – Daily courses available for those 11+ in Kentville, New Minas, Windsor and Greenwood. 

Cineplex Movies – 4 movies every day during March Break starting at 11am for $2.99. 

Cotton Tale Cafe, New Minas – Daily events for kids.

Fundy YMCA, Cornwallis – TBA

Ross Farm Museum  Come out for March Break on the farm. Each day will have a theme relating to the farm. As always there will be lots of hands on activities for everyone to enjoy and crafts that everyone can participate in throughout the day.  Hot chocolate will be served. Weather permitting, there will be sleigh rides.

Music Camps

Moe’s Music Camp, Windsor 

Both camps run at the same time from March 12 to March 16. It’s open to ages 12 to 18. Each camp runs from 10am to 4pm with lunch break at noon. The focus for SONGWRITERS camp is on writing and being creative. We will analyze song melody/chords/rhythm and structure. Each student will get to write and record a song. 

The RECORDING camp is geared for students that are interested in what goes on in the studio. We’ll cover everything from recording drums/bass/guitars and vocals as well as mixing. The recording students will then get to use their skills to record and produce the students from the songwriters camp.

Each Camp is $175 {tax in}. We accept cash/cheque/Visa/Etransfer 

Recreation and Day Camps

Berwick Day Camp– We will be having a camp March 12 to 17 at The Berwick Town Hall for ages 5 to 12. 

Bridgetown Recreation – will be holding a week long camp. 

Canning Recreation – March 13th, 14th, and 15th Time: 9:00am-4:00pm Location: Glooscap Elementary School Cost: $15/day, max $45/family Registration deadline: March 2nd, minimum registration number must be met for camp to be held as scheduled.

Greenwood – When: Monday March 12th– Friday March 16th. Time: 7:30am-5:30pm. Cost: $75 recreation card holders. $85 non recreation card holders

We will be swimming, skating, sledding (weather permitting), doing crafts, cooking and being physically active each day. Pre-registration is mandatory. Spots will be limited. 902 765 1494 ext. 5341

New Minas Recreation –  New Minas Recreation offers a safe and fun environment for campers, ages 5-13 this  March Break! We enjoy a wide variety of activities – games, trips, arts & crafts, movies and more, all under the direction of our qualified and dedicated staff!  Come spend your March Break with New Minas Rec!Junior Camp:  Ages 5-8, max 25 Senior Camp:  Ages 9-13, max 25 MUST REGISTER ONLINE AT NEWMINAS.COM.

Kingston Recreation – March Break Day Camp 2018 – Planning is still in the works but you can register at the Village Office in Kingston. A $20 deposit is required to secure your spot. ONLY 16 Spots available. Ages 5 – 12.

Port Williams Recreation – 8:30-4:30, Monday – Friday; $20 a day. Ages 5-12. Held at the Port Williams Elementary School. 

Middleton Recreation – Location: AEES
Duration: 4 days
Day & Time: Monday 12 Mar – Thursday 15 Mar, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Cost: $50 Ages: 5-10 years old
Maximum Number: 25
NOTE: Kids have to bring a lunch and any snacks. They’ll need inside shoes and each must dress appropriately for the weather as some of the activities are held outside.

The day campers can count on guaranteed fun this week, filled with games, crafts, outdoor adventures, guest speakers and more! Spots will fill up quickly.

Windsor Recreation – March Break Day Camp (ages 5 and up in school) – This camp is designed for kids in elementary school with opportunities for teens to get involved as junior leaders. Join us for fun filled days of games, challenges, creative projects, scavenger hunts, outdoor activities and more. Participants will be outside every day so be sure to pack your snow suit. Campers are asked to bring a lunch, two healthy snacks and a water bottle.
Session Dates: March 12 – 16
When: Monday to Friday
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Extended care: 8:00 – 9:00am and 4:00 – 5:00pm as needed
Camp cost: $125.00/week or $30.00/day
Extended care cost: $30.00 per week/person,
$50.00 per week per family or
$6.00 per day/person.


Specialty Camps

Dragonfly Haven Theraputic Farm, Mt. Denson – A fun week of arts and crafts and interaction with the animals on the farm. Full and half days available. $25 a day.

Theatre and Art Camps

Acadia Art Gallery Camp – The Acadia University Art Gallery is offering a March Break Art Studio for middle school and high school students (ages 11-18) with professional artist and educator Elizabeth Sircom. In the mornings students will work on learning a new technique, and afternoons will be spent making a work of art to take home. Lunch-time will be spent in the gallery where we will explore and talk about art.  Participants may register for individual days or the whole week. All materials included, participants bring own lunch. Price: 50$ per day or 225$ for the whole week 
Art Camp wit Colleen Gerrits (ages 5 and up). I am running a “half day art camp” at my place in Greenwich on Monday March 12 and Tuesday March 13.  You can choose the morning or the afternoon session. You simply sign up through email for the 9am-12 session or the one at 1pm-4. The cost is $65 per child and includes both half days, all supplies, a  snack and a lot of fun! CentreStage Theatre, Kentville – This March Break and summer, CentreStage will be hosting drama camps for youth! Participants will learn stage skills such as voice, movement, character development and technical aspects.  Camp Fees: $150 per person per week. Each participant is responsible for bringing a lunch. CentreStage will provide all snacks. Camp Times: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 3:00 (doors open at 8:30am), with a public performance at 2pm on Friday afternoon.

March Break 2018 = Heidi, non musical for ages 8-14. 

Ross Creek Centre for the Arts We are looking forward to a  fabulous week at Ross Creek’s March Break Arts Camp for children and teens. There is something great for everyone aged 5-18  At Ross Creek we provide an amazing art day taught by professional artists and a great camp experience for kids on our 178 acres of field and forest, led by our fabulous counsellors. Whether searching for the Creekster, creating a masterpiece or making new friends, our camps have something for every kid! We offer programs in dance, theatre, music and art. Kids can come for a day or for the whole week of adventure and art.
