Acadia Programs: KinderSkills and SMILE

KinderSkills at Acadia – Kinderskills is a program that provides preschool aged children with a variety  of movement activities in order to promote their development. Each child is paired with a university student. Entrance into the program is by lottery.

SMILE – The Acadia S.M.I.L.E. (Sensory Motor Instructional Leadership Experience) Program is an innovative, academic-based, yet volunteer-driven program that provides persons with varying disabilities a unique physical activity experience in order to improve their total development as individuals. Acadia University student-volunteers provide one-on-one instruction to participants.
