How to Host an Ice Cream Liqueur Party
How to Host an Ice Cream Liqueur Party
A long time ago when I lived in Japan, I visited an ice cream bar in Hokkaido. I loved the idea so much, that we decided to replicate it at home. This is the second time we have hosted an ice cream liqueur party with great success, so I thought I would share the idea so others can join in on the fun!
What to You Need
- Ice cream – we used 4L of vanilla ice cream, but we also had chocolate on hand, and lactose free.
- Liqueurs – we asked our guests to each bring a liqueur. If we had doubles, that was fine, but we ended up with a wide array. Just go to the counter in the liquor store and find the small bottles, or find some flavoured or cream liqueurs of your choice.
Set Up
Set up around a large table.
Put all the liqueurs in the middle of the table, and give everyone a bowl of ice cream.
Take a spoonful of ice cream. Pour a couple of drops liqueur over the ice cream on your spoon.
TIP: Sometimes it helps to put a toothpick across the top of the bottle, so a few drops come out at a time!
This way, with each spoonful, you will get a different liqueur!
Have fun passing the bottles around the table and finding out which is your favourite!
