Eating out with Friends and Family at the Church Brewing CO in Wolfville

Sometimes it is hard when a building and a space we love is no longer. Sometimes it is hard to accept, but sometimes we need to be grateful that the building and essence has been saved and repurposed.

This is the story of The Church Brewing Co. in Wolfville.

The story is similar to that of Avondale Sky Winery, in many ways where an old church was purposed into a beautiful winery.

Now, the former United Church in Wolfville has been repurposed into The Church Brewing Co.

Inside, the space has been changed into an incredible music venue and restaurant. I decided to go and check it out for lunch with a friend who used to attend church here as a child. I also remember singing here in choir, and admiring the acoustics.

The Space

The atmosphere inside the Church Brewing Co. is very beautiful, keeping many aspects of the former church feel in its decor.

There are many tables throughout the space, and even in the loft at the back. There is a stage area at the front for live music performances.

And even comfy couches for the booths.

The Food

Did you know the Church Brewing Co. serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks? Yes, they are open at 10am for breakfast!

I ordered the vegetarian sandwich, and my friend, the chicken.

The fries are to die for! I can’t wait to go back and try a few more of their menu items including breakfast!

Did I mention they have a popcorn machine, and they bring you a free bucket of popcorn while you wait?

Hours and Location

The Church Brewing Co is open every day from about 10am to 11pm or midnight, and closed on Mondays (STC).
