Baby Central, Coldbrook – We accept clothing sizes from newborn-6x, all MUST be in season, freshly laundered and neatly folded into your bag (no boxes) with all buttons, snaps, zippers done up and outfits together. Equipment and toys must be cleaned and in working condition including batteries if required. Some equipment items such as strollers, highchairs, cribs and more have certain safety conditions that must be met before consigning. Clothing is generally only taken the first 2 weeks of the month, whereas equipment is taken all the time.

Freecycle – list your stuff that you want to give away for free!

Books – can be donated to the Wolfville chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women. They have an annual sale in March to raise funds for educational purposes. Phone 542-2352 to discuss donations. The Food banks will also take them.

Or, drop off books at any of the Wee Libraries in the Valley

Children’s jackets – Vail’s Drycleaning in New Minas take donations of gently used children and adult winter coats to distribute to families in need.

Maternity clothes and baby gear – The Valley Care Pregnancy Centre in Kentville will take donations of maternity clothes and baby gear and clothes up to age 2.  Or sell on consignment at Baby Central in Coldbrook or Just Kidding in New Minas. 

Stuffed animals – The Kentville Police Department will take donations of gently used stuffed animals to give to children who are in emergency situations. Please phone or email first to make sure that they have room for them, first. (902-678-3378)

Toys – Donations of toys can be given to the Wolfville Area Food Bank. Infant toys can be sold on consignment at Baby Central in Coldbrook.

VHS Videos – Chrysalis House in Kentville will distribute VHS kid videos to its clients if you donate them here (not the library or hospital).

Chrysalis House – clothes, household goods, furniture

Kings County Family Resource Centre, Kentville – will take gently used or new children or adult clothing, gently used or new toys, crafting supplies for all ages, etc.

Open Arms – clothes, household goods, furniture

Valley Care Pregnancy Centre – We still welcome donations of baby items such as gently used baby clothing, formula, diapers and small baby furniture such as bouncy chairs and swings and also maternity clothes
