Simply Sensational Chocolate Cake

Every once in awhile, one of those recipes comes along that is Mind Blowingly AWESOME.

This is it.

I started making this cake back in my university days. I made it every year for my boss (now my friend JL!) for her birthday or for Christmas.

It’s ooey-gooey goodness. Make sure you cook it long enough and that the centre is thoroughly cooked!

Ingredients

1. 1 1/2 C Flour
2. 3/4 C Sugar
3. 1/3 C Cocoa
4. 1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
5. 3/4 tsp Baking Soda
6. 3/4 C Mayonnaise
7. 3/4 C Water
8. 1 egg
9. 1 1/2 C Chocolate Chips, divided

Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients together, only putting 1/2 C of Chocolate chips into the batter.
2. Pour into a greased 8x8 or 9x9 pan.
3. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
4. Bake 350 for 35-45 minutes. Make sure the middle is fully cooked!
