Annapolis Royal – There is an outdoor rink on St. Anthony Street, across from the EHS station.
Bridgetown – there is an outdoor rink at the Trojan Sport Centre.
Burlington – They will be open every Sunday 2 to 4 , weather permitting. Best of all, NO CHARGE! The Burlington is committed to providing opportunities for everyone. Donations to their skate exchange are always welcome so everyone can take part.
Coldbrook – the rink in Coldbrook is behind the Lions Club. Turn down the road by Foodland (South Bishop Road) in Coldbrook and then turn in the Lions’ drive way and follow it around to the back where the man-made rink is located. It is lit and there is no charge for usage. There is a little shelter for changing into your skates. The rink is really good for young families because they have posted hours that are hockey-free. No pucks or sticks allowed on the ice from 1-4 and 6-9 pm daily.
Falmouth – the Falmouth District School has an outdoor skating rink that is used by students during the day and the public on evenings and weekends. MAP
Hantsport – has an outdoor rink on the community centre grounds in front of the tennis courts. It is lit at night.
Kentville – there is an outdoor pond near the new KCA school beside the soccer dome. Access it from West Main Street.
Another outdoor pond is in Oakdene park off Oakdene Ave. It may not always be cleared, so bring a shovel.
Kingston, Stronach Park – There is a flag system in place to indicate ice conditions. A red flag means no skating and a green flag is an invitation to skate at your own risk. Another outdoor rink is located at the Kingston Tennis Courts.
Middleton – Centennial Park has an outdoor rink.
New Minas – Rink is located beside the skate park, on Commercial St in New Minas.
Port Williams Pond, Belcher Street – lights for skating at night and a change room available. Bring your shovel to clear the ice. OR head to Collins Road to a man-made rink at Bennedict soccer fields.
Windsor, Long Pond – The pond is open to the public, however, it all depends on weather (if we’ve had snow, we need a day or so to clear pond and clear road to pond). The pond is a good 10 minute walk from the Dill Farm yard. Stop in the yard and ask before they go back. We don’t want anyone getting stuck. Pond is open to public during the day only. We have no lights set up for night skating. MAP
Woodville, Highway 221 – behind the Fire Hall. The parking lot is behind the hall, then you’ll see a shed and a pole with a light on it where the rink is. You can even skate at night, you just open the box on the pole and turn the light on. Be careful not to park in the Twin Mt Construction truck parking area.
